Dr. Vinod Ramachandran currently serves as a Surgical Registrar at a major
trauma and tertiary referral hospital in Perth, Western Australia, where
he manages a diverse range of surgical cases spanning trauma, acute care, and
subspecialty surgery. His clinical role provides him with significant exposure
to high-pressure environments, multidisciplinary teamwork, and advanced
operative procedures.
His medical journey began at Monash
University, where he graduated with an MBBS (Honours) in 2019.
Motivated by a strong interest in surgical sciences, he completed a Master’s
degree in Surgery and Trauma at Newcastle University, further
strengthening his expertise in trauma management and evidence-based surgical
care.
A pivotal year in rural medical
practice shaped his perspective on healthcare delivery in resource-limited
settings. This experience cultivated adaptability, resilience, and a deeper
appreciation for diverse patient needs and clinical complexities.
For the past three years, Dr.
Ramachandran has worked across general and subspecialty surgical units,
refining his operative skills, clinical decision-making, and patient-centered
approach. Alongside his clinical responsibilities, he remains actively engaged
